Terms of Use
Job Curator is owned by Paul Nicol, Chicago, Illinois. By using the Job Curator spreadsheet, its menus, dialogs, and the documents it produces, you agree to these terms.
1. What you are getting
Job Curator is licensed to you, not sold. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use one copy of the spreadsheet and its script for your own job search. Everything in the tool, including the script code, the menus and dialogs, the research prompts, the document layouts, and the way it grounds every claim in your evidence, is the copyrighted work of Paul Nicol. All rights reserved.
2. What you may not do
- Copy, share, publish, sell, or give away the spreadsheet, the script, or any part of it.
- Open, read, extract, modify, or reverse engineer the script or the prompts it contains.
- Use the tool to prepare applications for anyone other than yourself, or offer it as a service.
- Remove or change any copyright notice.
If you want a copy for someone else, send them to Paul.
3. Your documents and your data stay yours
Your career registry, your evidence bank, the postings you save, and every CV and cover letter the tool writes belong to you. They live in your own Google Drive and your own spreadsheet. Paul does not receive them.
Your research-service keys and job-source keys are stored in your own Google account's script properties. They are never written to the sheet and never sent anywhere except to the service they belong to. How the tool handles your data is set out in the privacy policy.
4. You review and submit every application
The tool prepares, files, and tracks. It never submits an application for you. You are responsible for reading every CV and cover letter before you send it, and for what you submit. The tool is built to use only facts from your own documents, but you are the final check.
5. Third-party services
The tool calls job-search and research services with keys you supply. Those services have their own terms and their own charges, which are between you and them. Job boards have their own rules about applications, which you follow when you submit.
6. No warranty
Job Curator is provided as is. It may contain mistakes, and job postings, services, and Google features change without notice. To the extent the law allows, Paul Nicol is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool, including a missed opportunity or an application you chose to send.
7. Ending the license
Paul may end your license if you break these terms. You may stop using the tool at any time. Sections 1, 2, 3, and 6 survive.
